| All previously played guitars sold by Guitar Rodeo are guaranteed to be exactly as described. Most of these instruments started out life as Guitar Rodeo guitars and were sold back with the buy-back program. Useful information to consider:
Mint/Perfect: Untouched and unsullied, perfect in appearance with no dents, dings, scratches or flaws. Like new.
Excellent: Guitar will have character as expressed in light dents that do not break finish, minor scratches and possibly the first signs of string wear on the frets. The finish will not be broken with any marks.
Very Good: Obvious finish character with dents, dings, and scratches. Almost any guitar that has seen significant time being played dynamically, used for gigging or stage work will be classified this way. No structural issues will be present in this class. These guitars are likely to have opened up and will have wonderful tone.
Good: Significant character marks with compromised finish issues, fret wear, and possible minor structure issues such as repaired cracks, wear showing in wood, or excessively low saddle height. These guitars will probably be the tonal pick of the litter, so to speak, as they have been shaken to their timbers and permanently open tonality. A well worn axe will make sweet music-and you don't have to look at it if it is in your lap where it should be. A personal note... Cosmetics are only one criteria to consider when evaluating a guitar. Structure of the instrument must be sound but there is virtually no issue (short of combustion or pieces too small to puzzle together) that cannot be remedied by a good luthier. We try to be very conservative in rating used guitars. Issues that should be fixed are repaired prior to listing in order to conform to the rating category.
